How You Can Make A Difference
The need for our services continues to grow as more and more families in our community experience homelessness. Daily, staff turn away parents and children
who will end up sleeping in cars, or tents, or unsafe conditions because we have no space for them. Without our dedicated network of hosting and supporting
congregations, FPSL could not serve the families we do.
But we must do more. A second network of churches would instantly double our capacity allowing us to serve 8 families at any given time, or up to 80 families annually.
You can share in the FPSL mission of helping homeless families to achieve lasting self-sufficiency by encouraging your own church to become a hosting or supporting congregation.
For updated information and statistics about family homelessness, locally and nationally, please visit the websites of the following organizations:
Utah Continuum of Care
Utah Community Action Partnership Association
The National Alliance to End Homelessness. (The NAEH has great tools on how to talk to your children about homelessness.)
Your Donation Goes a Long Way!
Our program is very cost effective because of our heavy reliance upon volunteer service and in-kind giving. Every dollar received from grants, foundations
or individuals is matched by approximately $.90 in in-kind giving. FPSL only employees 4 full-time staff.
You or your business, corporation, foundation, or congregation can help by making a financial contribution to FPSL. In making a personal donation, please remember that some employers may match your gift. Some community groups or schools have initiated creative fundraisers in their efforts to support the FPSL mission.
Family Promise – Salt Lake is incorporated as a 501c3 nonprofit organization and all gifts are tax-deductible.

Attend a Tour of the Family Promise Day Center to Find Out More
Once a month, or upon request, we host a gathering at the Family Promise Day Center with the hopes of spreading the word about the great work that we do in
helping homeless families. Invite a guest and attend a tour if you want to know more about what we do or if you would like to share your own enthusiasm for
FPSL with friends, co-workers, fellow church members, etc.
Each gathering will include refreshments (lunch or afternoon snacks) information about how our program works, a visit with a current or former guest, a tour of our facilities, and information about family homelessness in Utah. There is no cost to attend and no one will ask you for money.
